Famille Chic’s Sixteenth Arrondissement Apartment in Paris

Entrance/hallway

Walls hung with portraits of ancestors in gilded frames.



Living room

Decorated for socialising, not lounging.

Upholstered armchairs facing inward to promote
conversation.

Classical music played after dinner on an antique record player.



Dining room

Dining room table dressed for dinner with a tablecloth and a fresh bouquet of flowers.

Food served on blue willow patterned china.

Wine poured from a crystal decanter into crystal glasses.

Freshly pressed coffee sipped out of delicate blue and white teacups.



Kitchen

Functional items.

Small breakfast table.



Bathroom

Sparkling clean.

Tiled floors. 

Small mirror.

Freestanding sink with no counter space. 

Situated in front of a very large window was the ample sized bathtub with a handheld showerhead fixture.

No separate shower unit.
