The Fickleness of Man

You coloured every part of my life
Now I see everything way brighter than before

vs

You look like a limp piece of over-blanched spinach

Conscious Uncoupling 2016

"While we still love and care about each other, we have decided to separate"  - (Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow).

"If 'A' is open to processing with 'B' then friendship with an ex will help to put a fullstop on a painful chapter."

"Just because a romantic relationship ends doesn't mean that the other facets of your relationship have to end or, indeed, doesn't mean they can't get better" - (Chris Martin).

"People change. Feelings change. It doesn’t mean that the love once shared wasn’t true or real. It simply means that sometimes when people grow, they grow apart" (500 days of Summer).

How Does Jeff Goldblum Stay Inspired?

“This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.

I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake.

Life is no ‘brief candle’ for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”

(George Bernard Shaw)

Hyacinth Bean and Dragonfly

Transforming into an Insect in the Sky
In the air, the dragonfly soars,
With fluttering double wings.
Carefree, it hovers above,
Dancing in the dew.
Amidst the bean leaves, the breeze is gentle,
Waiting for what lies ahead.
Its shadow falls on silk,
Pausing like a celestial being.

扁豆蜻蜓圖
化身蟲天,翩翾雙羽。
逍遙凌空,吸露而舞。
豆葉風清,伺伏何所。
影落生綃,駐以仙組。

This poem describes the elegance and freedom of a lentil dragonfly.

Poem analysis

The dragonfly soars in the air, symbolizing its freedom and lightness.

The light dance of the wings of the dragonfly, showing its flexibility.

Dragonflies fly freely in the air, unrestrained.

Dragonflies dance in the morning dew, showing their elegance and vividness.

The bean leaves in the background sway in the breeze, creating natural tranquility.

The dragonfly seems to be looking for a certain target or place, which adds to the mystery of the poem.

The shadow of the dragonfly is reflected on the soft gauze, adding a dreamy atmosphere.

The last sentence mentions the existence of dragonflies like fairies, which brings elegance and beauty.

The whole poem is full of praise for natural beauty, and shows the lightness and flexibility of dragonflies.

Flowers Exclusion Zone

Outside written by Fat Oswald

Outside is cakes and tins of pop
And you can go into a shop,
To buy the chocolates that you like,
Or training shoes: the best is Nike.

Outside is flowers and trees galore
If we could leave the prison door.
There is girls with pretty faces
We could take them to nice places.

Outside is where we want to be,
Charlie, Carlton, Lee and me.

The paucity of your ambitions will, I expect, be matched by the parochialism of their execution.

When Charles thought about heaven, he imagined it to be an English pastoral landscape with farmers in moleskin trousers driving horse-drawn ploughs.
