Someone Had Blundered

Plateful of blue
Hoary lighthouse
Green sand dunes
Moon country
Uninhabited of men

Jacmanna was bright violet
Wall staring white

Desolate sea bird, flounder flounder
The owl and the poker
Children don't forget

Silver water, phantom net
Pope's Nose, sea anemones

Horny pink-lined shell
Neptune's banquet
Watching the waves

China rose abloom, honey bee buzzing
Deep vermilion

Uncovered star
Wandering ship

Milk soup jocundity
Pearl brooch

The arrow-like stillness held their court...

This poem was inspired by the book 'To the Lighthouse' written by Virginia Woolf
