Mortals Guide to Visiting Faerie

~ Cold Iron interferes with fairy magic or fairy powers.

~ If you eat in Faerie, you might be stuck there for 100 years.

~ Don't accept any gifts in Faerie, you might be stuck there for 100 years if you are not able to match the gift.

~ Always be polite in Faerie - for an impoliteness you can find yourself with donkeys ears or worse.

~ Never tell anybody in Faerie your true name because knowing someone's name gives you power over them.

~ Touch an iron nail to any gold a fairy gives you to tell if it's real.

~ The fake gold that fairies give you turns to dross in the morning.
